Have you been searching for an authentic and traditional Chinese massage in Las Vegas? Then look no further! Here at Mu Tao Wellness Spa we are proud to offer the Tui Na and Zhi Ya massage techniques that have been studied and improved by the Chinese culture for more than 4,000 years.

What is Chinese Massage?

Professional practitioners of this style agree that a continuous flow of body energy is what prevents disease, stress, and other issues. Whether you are interested in bodywork therapies such as Tui na, Zhi ya, acupuncture, acupressure, or even other Chinese massage styles in Las Vegas, you’ll be sure to find an underlying theme repeated across traditional and modern healers’ techniques.

The theme that you’ll notice is that each technique is based on the fundamental study of the meridian system’s energy pathways, and the manipulation of these pathways and points. An experienced practitioner can manipulate the energy of the meridian system’s pathways and redirect it so that your “qi” or body energy is best spread throughout your body during one of our sessions that lasts at least 30 minutes.

The Tui Na Massage Therapy vs. The Zhi Ya Massage Therapy

When you receive your first massage at our spa, whether it’s your very first massage or the first massage you’ve had of a certain technique, we’ll be sure to communicate your options to you.

We’ll cover the benefits of each option, as well as what each massage option is recommended for, so that you can decide what you’d like to try and discover the technique that you ultimately benefit from the most.

When it comes to Chinese massage, the Tui Na massage is the most common therapy. It is a combination of acupressure, aromatherapy, herbal oil rubs, and many other techniques and benefits, such as an optional hair wash. These massages are meant to make you feel great, pampered, and well taken care of. As such, they can last for up to two hours and include rubbing, vibration massage therapy (i.e. pounding or thumping), a bit of acupressure, and kneading.

The Zhi Ya massage therapy is nearly just as common as Tui Na, and it focuses on techniques that apply more acupressure to specific points of the body. These points are picked because they are connected to areas of muscles that are connected to nerves, so they are effective in engaging the nervous system to improve various body functions.
